  • The fishing boats in the harbour come every day, except Saturday and Sunday, in Guilvinec. It is always so between 16:00 and 18:00. It is then the caught fish and lobster, Langoustines and crabs unloaded and auctioned off. Then there's the fresh fish in the fish shop at the port. The whole spectacle of the observation deck above the auction hall can be seen very well!

  • The crie is a must-do if you can get the timing right. The museum is excellent - I expected it to be boring but was captivated by the insights on fishing. Eye-opening. Even if you don't go to the fish sales, just watching the line of trawled head to harbour, speed round the lighthouse and unload is a real treat. Feel connected to the maritime, living culture and industry of the region.
  • Not to be missed! The guided tour is magic, the guide is a real character who explains very well the technical aspects of fishing than the aspects more private life of sailors. We (family of 4) learned a lot.

  • Very interesting exhibition. The visit of the auction is to do absolutely to complete a tour of the exhibition or even only the auction to understand the life of the port and of those who work there.
