Grimaud Castle, Grimaud
(4.4/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
The small, perched vilage of Grimaud is a popular tourist destination. It is said to have historical connections with the famous Grimaldi Family. The village of Grimaud is highlighted by an ancient,11th century castle. The Grimaud Castle dominated the Gulf of Saint Tropez for years and so the Saint Tropez Gulf was also known as the Gulf of Grimaud until the 19th century. You must visit this castle because of its steep summit, strategic location, and historical annotations dating back to the ancient Gallo-Roman era. The Grimaud Castle is a great place to visit for all those who admire art, culture, and history. • Castle ruins to the origin of the 11th century which originally included three speakers framed towers, whose impressive ruins remain. The view is magnificent. It's a beautiful walk.

  • The rise of the car park at the bottom of the village to the castle is a bit daunting, it goes up a lot through heaps of cobblestone alleys. I highly recommend to those who don't work very well at the time. But for others, the view from the remains of the castle is worth the glance: we have a great view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The place also hosts plays and festivals. It must be great in the middle of this beautiful setting.

  • Nice walk to perform solo or with family in the ruins of the old Castle. In season, shows held in the evening, with views of the hills of the Moors

  • Beautiful. That's it.
  • Very nice. But not only for the Castle. See the picturesque village, to the small market at the level of the cemetery and the mill (below), it is beautiful and accessible family with young children (from 4 years).
