Founded in the early fifteenth century by the monks of the abbey of Lerins, Domaine de La Royrie is a gourmet garden full of history and sensory experiences. You will notice small bungalows where farmers from the Middle Ages maintained the fruit-bearing trees and cereals. The route then takes you to discover the history of olive oil. It begins with understanding an olive tree, modes of conduct, the size of the harvest, and others. The owners will answer all your questions happily. At the end, you can enter the basement oil store and where the oil is stored in bottles. You can also taste several vintage oils. The tour ends with a tasting of mini-courses that are tchosen to marry the flavors of the various oils tasted.
