Village des Bories, Gordes

(3.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Visit Village des Bories for a close-up look at the ruins of a small hamlet from Napoleonic times. Wander through this open-air museum to examine about 20 dry stone huts that were used primarily for agricultural reasons. Some of them comprised part of a Gordoise nave--a multipurpose area used as a seasonal dwelling, a tool shed, or even a sheep shelter. • It's a nice walk through the village and a return to the story. Conservation and rehabilitation of habitat is remarkable.

  • A perfectly maintained site, we had the chance to have a wonderful time and the chance to come across little world in this period... I recommend, but need you a little more patience during visits in the summer on Gordes.

  • Interesting to explore a bygone way of life.
  • Just like an alien sci-fi movie set!
  • Interesting village with a beautiful heritage preservation. On the other hand, plate given to hospitality with a plan that does not match anything. Difficult to move in the village. Very little explanation would suffice yet of little things to improve the visit, knowing that the site is managed by the city of Gordes (common where the parking rates are still high)

  • Pretty village restored by a private. Nevertheless the entrance fee is not justified in my opinion. Very sketchy home, very little explanation. The correction of the child questionnaire is to do same se, jaded cashier by trade. The readings and videos will replace human guide and visit loses its charm! For once parking is free in this region!
