  • After a visit to Gordes visited the monastery on the route back. Glittered located and beautifully maintained monastery. Fine spacious parking lot, worth a visit for anyone who is in the neighborhood.

  • I started with fairly low expectations: I don't really care about lavender and that was supposed to be the big attraction. Travelling through beautiful countryside helped my mood a lot. I was not disa...  more »
  • A 7 euros entry no thanks possible visit... from outside the fields of lavender and architecture will suffice. But why everyone makes fun of tourists... A 3 euros per adult small enough!

  • The region itself deserves 5+ stars. The Abbey was a bit crowded, the largest parts of the field were blocked off with a fence (to protect the flowers from the numerous tourists). It was a hot day and we had on shorts so we were not permitted in the Abbey but allowed on the grounds. It is worth noting / warning that right before the entrance to the Abbey, you can pull over for a beautiful photo of the fields with the Abbey behind but be careful of theft. As we turned to head back to the car that was just behind us about 3 meters, I spotted a man standing a little close to our vehicle, he ran back to his car and drove off. When we got back in our car and started it, we noticed the light warning us that the rear car door was open (where I caught the man standing) and it had not been flashing before we pulled over and we did not go into the backseat since leaving our hotel. My partner's bag was in the backseat but luckily we caught him just in time and nothing was taken. All of that happened in the span of 5 minutes so please be careful even in such an idyllic and peaceful region.
  • Peaceful and amazing place to visit. The feel of Provence, the scent of lavender in the air and medieval feeling... I would recommend to discover it on your own. Rent a car and enjoy scenery drive.
  • It is a nice and quiet place. In july it should show magnificent purple fields of lavender. Unfortunately at the end of august the lavender has just been harvested
  • The lavender fields (apart from the ones directly in front of the abbey) were already harvested when we visited (beginning of August), but the view of the abbey was nice anyway! A very good range of local products (made also by other abbeys), also very reasonable prices.
  • Nice abbaye with plenty of lavendar fields infront. Free parking. Large shop that sells local products, some that are produced by monks - but also a lot of typical tourist products like soaps or cremes with lavendar smell. a bit too commerical. If you want to enter the abbaye, dress accordingly (no short pants, covered shoulders, etc)
