Eglise Sainte-Radegonde de Giverny, Giverny

(4/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Reputed as a site of mystery and ancient history, Eglise Sainte-Radegonde de Giverny is a church in the village of Giverny that dates from the Middle Ages. Built partially in Romanesque style, additions have since been made. It is dedicated to Ste.-Radegonde, who was said to have cured scabies. Some historians say Gallo-Roman graves were discovered in the churchyard in 1838. After you view the church, walk a short distance to the nearby ruined megalithic monument called St. Radegonde's Grave. It also testifies that Neolithic people used to live here. Put Eglise Sainte-Radegonde de Giverny into our Giverny holiday planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • On a morning of spring or an afternoon of bright fall, what pretty purpose of walk less than 100 km of Paris that the visit of Giverny, certainly, the essential House of Monet, the Hotel Baudy, and the Museum of the Impressionisms must be seen but linger in the flowery lanes and return to the city by way of school children: Gasny , The Roche Guyon and its castle and Vétheuil. All this will leave a great memory for a long time.

  • Cute Chapel in the countryside, a modest but very picturesque hilly landscape, blended in a graveyard at her walls buried Claude Monet

  • GO here if you are visiting Monet's garden and have some time left over. It is cute little church and the graves of people are interesting, but otherwise, not really worth more time.
