  • One of the most impressive hikes I ever did in the world. An easy-slope ascending trail takes you for 1~1.5 hour from the parking lot to the hotel, then another 45min to the bottom of the waterfall. N...  more »

  • Breathtaking natural beauty! You cannot miss this, it's really worthwhile. Takes ~1 hour to walk one-way from the car park. Wear sturdy shoes as the path has many small rocks along the way. When you reach, enjoy the view with a drink from Hotel de Cirque.
  • Nice place to take a long walk. The Waterfall ist not very big(amount of water), but it is very tall. Over 400 meters
  • Stunning place. You need a full day to appreciate it. Sunny days are best with views to take your breath away. Lots of shops close all selling tat and food at slightly higher prices but it is worth a few extra euros. Does get busy but that doesnt stop the wow factor
  • I travel a lot, but this place really got me. Maybe the most impressive place I have seen in my life so far - simultaneously impressive and inspiring. You need around 2.5 hours from the village to the big waterfall. Good shoes are advisable - anyway, my girlfriend made it to the waterfall in her Nike Roshes and back without any injuries. The water running down the mountain is stunning blue.
  • Impressive geological destination for all levels of hikers. From a distance you can see the highest waterfall at cirque de Gavarnie. You walk and walk about an hour and a half on an ascending path. When you reach the Hotel, it is not the end, so you can take a brake with a good coffee and more. If you have the powers... you will have to walk in a much difficult terrain (rocky path) about 1.5 km to reach the base of the waterfall. Be advised to have suitable shoes if you don't want to feel every stone or rock under your feet... Recommend!
