  • A magical place, strolling along the river you leave civilisation behind and climb into a wild river valley surrounded by mountains. Whilst it was quite busy it's still a majestic sight to behold, and...  more »
  • A nice ride to do year-round panoramic and easy to get into the circus market

  • I can say to encourage and invite tourists make this ascent, modest, to one of the splendours of the Hautes-Pyrenees? Must go! A climb in a beautiful landscape where vegetation of mountain offers flowers, trees or foam mat to our eyes, the Rocky trail is shared with donkeys, to help the less courageous or sportsmen and finally, we see nearly the circus of Gavarnie and its famous waterfall! From the hotel, the progression is more difficult but closer you you can feel the spray and more we feel small in front of such a beauty of Nature. Impressive, majestic, splendid and inescapable: that's what is for me the circus of Gavarnie! The reward after a somewhat strenuous hike.

  • Stunning place. You need a full day to appreciate it. Sunny days are best with views to take your breath away. Lots of shops close all selling tat and food at slightly higher prices but it is worth a few extra euros. Does get busy but that doesnt stop the wow factor
  • Impressive geological destination for all levels of hikers. From a distance you can see the highest waterfall at cirque de Gavarnie. You walk and walk about an hour and a half on an ascending path. When you reach the Hotel, it is not the end, so you can take a brake with a good coffee and more. If you have the powers... you will have to walk in a much difficult terrain (rocky path) about 1.5 km to reach the base of the waterfall. Be advised to have suitable shoes if you don't want to feel every stone or rock under your feet... Recommend!
  • I travel a lot, but this place really got me. Maybe the most impressive place I have seen in my life so far - simultaneously impressive and inspiring. You need around 2.5 hours from the village to the big waterfall. Good shoes are advisable - anyway, my girlfriend made it to the waterfall in her Nike Roshes and back without any injuries. The water running down the mountain is stunning blue.
  • Awesome place... Heaven on earth. Beautiful landscape and sceneries. Amazing experience
  • Breathtaking views and good place for a day hike. Appropriate walking shoes needed if you want to climb up to the waterfall - but it is definitely worth it.
