  • My family loves to climb the steps to the top almost every year. Not this year; "Closed: too windy." (How come a recent poster claims that he loves it in stormy weather?) If you can get past the Cerbe...  more »

  • Amazing end of the world feeling arriving at the lighthouse. Very nice view from the top.
  • Walked here from Barfleur, approx 45 mins on a windy October. Enjoyed the climb, and very impressive views from the top. Legs and lungs felt the climb. €13 for the 5 of us.
  • Excellent views of the area. Count 7 min for the 365 steps. My 4 year old did it in one go.
  • Amazing place with fantastic views. If you like lighthouses, this one is quite special. Huge, and beautifully engineered. It is a tribute to beautiful, but practical design.
  • Lots of stairs (≈365) to get to the top, requiring most, a few breaks to catch a breath. Only to get to the top and have it taken away again by the gorgeous panoramic view. Most definitely worth the effort.
