Chateau Lestevenie, Gageac-et-Rouillac

Stopped by this lovely vineyard to taste and pick up a few bottles. The owners speak really great English! And are English, by coincidence. This meant we could properly discuss the wines and the stories behind them (my french is largely restricted to body language). There's a comfy table under the linden with views across the vineyards, and my young kids could romp around and attempt to interact with the friendly dog and cat while papa, handily not driving that day, got to interact with some fermented grapes. The wines are wonderful and the people friendly.

I recently visited Chateau Lestevenie, as part of a family party of 15 arranged by my son and daughter in law. It was a very pleasurably afternoon, and I can recommend the wine tasting experience. Our hosts Sue and Humphrey were happy to share their knowledge and love of wine, and it was all very interesting. It is certainly a must for anyone holidaying in the area. Pam

We visited Chateau Lestevenie for the second time and took our family with us (15 people), Sue & Humphrey were amazing and shared their knowledge and love of Wine with us, they catered for the novices amongst us as well as some Wine connoisseurs, their Wine is amazing and plentiful, the location is stunning and they’ll take you through the Vines too, we felt a little guilty as we were able to spend so much time with them chatting away about Wine and other things, a definite MUST for anyone staying in the area, hope to see you again soon Leon & KC 😂🙂🍷

Had a fantastic day enjoying your fabulous vineyard. Would highly recommend to all. Would also recommend you visit via Alex at Bergerac wine tours. That way there's no designated driver , so everyone can enjoy the fabulous wines.

My husband & I visited during our stay in the region & were not disappointed, the tasting, tour & wines were fantastic. We were unfortunately a little late, as we were held up on an earlier sightseeing visit! However were greeted warmly by the owners, and joined in immediately. The wines were fantastic, only wished we could have purchased more if we were not flying back! The tour of the vineyard was also great with a obviously very knowledgeable host, who gave detailed & very interesting information! He also took time to show us the storage area where all of the wine was currently being harvested into. I could not recommend the vineyard, tour & wines highly enough - great tour!
