  • The place is not grandiose, but spectacular for anyone interested. Nice in any case, with a short easy walk leading on the edge of a hill opening to the South. Better than leftovers, a site enough to impress the curious, and probably also the Knower. This is that boller the alpilles in time, to say very old the importance and charm.

  • The aqueduct is preserved very well, does not undergo frequent maintenance but its highlight is definitely the area where it is located. Wonderful spot surrounded by olive trees and lush Plains and fields treated in detail. Follow it all up to a small cliff from which you will have a privileged view over the surrounding territory.

  • We are surprised by the size of the book: although in ruins, it is quite easy to imagine the aqueduct at the time of its glory. Its location in the middle of the olive trees makes a typical "Mediterranean" postcard. Only downside, the difficulty to park nearby.

  • A nice viaduct with a great view. Definitely a place to visit!
  • Remains of the Roman aqueduct of Barbegal carrying water from the mountain chain "massif des Alpilles" until the city of Arelate. The ancient city of Arles was one of the most important villas of Gaul Roman, supporter of Julio Cesar in his fight against Pompey, closely tied to the life of the Emperor Constantine and his sons, in addition to being chosen as a residence by veterans of the sixth Legion "Ferr" ATA"after its licensing, today on the other hand..." Sic transit Gloria mundi'"

  • Free access, impressive what those Romans have done. No more intact on a few bows after, but that you can not expect after 2000 years.

  • Free site (careful watch for children, dangerous) shows the ruins of the largest hydraulic mill of Roman antiquity (second century) at the end of the Roman aqueduct. Water (1 m 3 per second) fell in 16 bucket wheels producing more than 4 tons of flour per day to feed Arles. Impressive and misunderstood. Not to be missed! See the model at the Museum of Ancient Arles.
