  • We visited the castle in Newfoundland in early September, this visit was very enriching its cultural point of view and its history. We loved it, even the Park bloom of gorgeous dahlias.

  • Even if we regret the tour stops on the ground floor so it is exciting, the rooms are richly provided. Our young guide comments were very complete and increased of stories to the small and the big story... For a bit I would have thought in the splendid English castles that I used to visit. The renovation, at the time, is successful, especially at a time when the Viollet-Leduc were as much harm than good. A family of owners who do things well. I recommend.

  • Bello il castello, anecdotes about Simenon, historical information (mandatory tour and only in French), but something is missing. The exterior is very nice and pleasant, the Interior a bit boring and stale. It can be visited only the ground floor with living room, entrance, the fasting and the part where they show how they bent the impressions on the slab. You see only the appearance of the Castle and an endless array of precious objects in addition to the family and listed by the Guide almost maniacally. Are the rooms by night, missing the kitchen, missing the dungeons, it lacks the heartfelt explanation of everyday life. The historical info is important, but if they are not external links are just a list of events and nothing more. To review the thematic setting for the historical value is recommended!
