  • Who was here he directly recognizes it this distinctive mixture of white sand, menhirs and forest. Great for bouldering and also just to walk around!

  • We went for a walk in the forest of Fontainebleau with our 5 year old son. We went to the "Cave of the brigands" and the following week, as he loved, we went to the "gorges of Franchard". The two courses are hilly with many boulders that are the delight of children. -For the "Cave of the brigands", you have to go to Barbizon, charming small village where we enjoyed a good ice to regain strength at the end of the ride. The walk starts at the "Chalet of the cave" (a snack-restaurant). You can follow the blue marked trail. Our son loved climbing rocks and enter the cave. -For the "gorges of Franchard" we followed the markup with 2 yellow silhouettes (2.5 km for a period of 1 h 10) while sometimes a few small detours. You can easily double the indicated travel time if your child, like ours, climbing the rocks he sees and regularly deviate from the originally planned route. The panorama of the forest is beautiful. Two very pleasant walks with landscapes of great beauty. We will return soon.

  • This forest offers a nice sampling of walks to do, more or less sports. For our part, we had the chance to enjoy a day of great weather, almost alone, as it was during the week.

  • Great wilderness (for populated France anyway). Hikes near Barbizon through the rocks are particularly good.
