  • It was quite a few years that I passed the Castle after a walk to Maysville, nearby village. I finally visited this castle in June and I was not disappointed. Very well preserved, it made me think to a magnificent Castle of the Loire in the Calvados! Exterior: it is possible to visit the chapel of the Castle and a portion of the Park. Inside the castle: it can be visited only with a guide. This visit is very complete and lasts an hour. Beautiful objects, paintings at the rendezvous! Outside, take the time to admire the façade and scrutinize every detail, you will find beautiful and unexpected things. I'm in love with this castle but I think stay objective in claiming that, unlike some of the castles that offer the same entrance fee, it's really worth it.

  • We visited this Chateau on a Sunday. Opened at 1.30pm you could walk around the grounds not very large and visit the chapel. The chateau was not open for guided tours until 3.15pm and an hour was a lo...  more »
  • It is a must visit if you are nearby. The castle is very well preserved, the guide knows add anecdotes from the history of the castle that make more attractive the visit and events (like the weekend xviii) give life to the area.

  • Honestly it's more cool from the outside than the inside. Tour was slow and boring, especially with 5 kids. They make too much out of the artwork and you only get to tour about 1/3 of the actual chateau. Fun little game area at the end for the kids, but nothing to write home about here for families.
  • I absolute love it, my children and I were very entertained. Twas a superb visit .
  • I Would not reccomend for non french speakers -guided tours in french only with rather thin printed guide in English - 10-15 minutes talk (in french) in each room with 3 lines in the guide. About half our party were not french speakers. the chateau loked quite interesting but this is not how to present it to non French visitors.
  • History. Photos prohibited internally. Guided tour
