Very beautiful objects to observe. The rooms are small; difficult to access works when there are a lot of people... During our visit, and for two euros in addition to the price of the admission ticket, we have entered the temporary exhibition on music, small but interesting. Several rooms upstairs: access by stairs or elevator.

Nice museum though a little difficult if you don't read french well as most of the info is text based. There are a few Egyptian artifacts on the ground floor but as you go up the building the exhibits are more and more just consisting of photos on the walls! If your mainly concerned with seeing the large stone reproduction & gardens featured in the advertising, they are view-able for free accessed by going down the passage to the left of the museum building.

An interesting museum dedicated to Champollion the translator of the Rossetta stone. A bit padded out with the theme of world writing systems, but still worth checking out.

Horrible for non french speakers. Interesting topic but badly/poorly presented. If you are going to visit, do take the audio tour to give it some interest
