  • Magnificent Museum well documented, well air conditioned which is significant when it is very hot, we end up with the top floor which makes available to the headphones and videos I watched on Champollion's life it is very well done it sums up the visit. A door opens on the terrace which overlooks the main square c is grandiose. The 5 euros c price is the price that should cost all museums that are often overpriced. Good visit and live the Lot department.

  • This modern Museum, housed in a medieval building, will interest all the curious of civilizations and languages, not only the hieroglyphs. You learn a lot on Champollion, but also on the history of the Scriptures of the world for 5300 years. The Museum is not bad and the audio guides bring a definite plus. Don't miss a ride on the balcony of the top floor to have a nice view of the medieval city. € 5 entry, € 3 for audio guide. Allow two hours.

  • Nice museum though a little difficult if you don't read french well as most of the info is text based. There are a few Egyptian artifacts on the ground floor but as you go up the building the exhibits are more and more just consisting of photos on the walls! If your mainly concerned with seeing the large stone reproduction & gardens featured in the advertising, they are view-able for free accessed by going down the passage to the left of the museum building.
  • An interesting museum dedicated to Champollion the translator of the Rossetta stone. A bit padded out with the theme of world writing systems, but still worth checking out.
  • Horrible for non french speakers. Interesting topic but badly/poorly presented. If you are going to visit, do take the audio tour to give it some interest

  • Superb Museum, the theme is perfect, the thread of the story of writing is very well traced, all this under the gaze of this sacred Champollion, to do!
