Chapel Notre-Dame-du-Salut, Fecamp

(4.6/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
At Chapel Notre-Dame-du-Salut, spend a moment of quiet reflection on those sailors, fishermen, and other ocean-goers lost at sea. Hike or drive up the hill to the small, stout chapel and admire its combination of both Gothic and Romanesque architecture, with origins dating back to the 1300s and several subsequent remodels. Step inside to see the humble interior and unassuming altar. Don't miss the chapel's collection of sea- and boat-themed paintings on display inside. Be sure to bring your camera and take advantage of the panoramic view over the surrounding countryside and sea afforded by the church's hilltop perch. • Located on the hills overlooking the town, a small chapel testifies, with the ex-voto or commemorations of missing the life of the inhabitants engaged in seafaring. Outside, a breathtaking view of the coast. Unforgettable.

  • Small chapel really very pretty, externally and internally. More by continuing a little more on the way (a few meters) you can admire a beautiful sunset, meet also a few blokos.

  • On the feast of St. Peter in early February, a moving tribute to these Earth Neuvas Fécamp city will never forget. Of course, one of the high places of contemplation is the chapel which leaves no one indifferent, believers or not (the ex voto). These sailors who left at least eight months and in conditions more than precarious made the reputation and prosperity at the time of Fécamp. The city view is fantastic from 7 pm in summer, enjoy a light that ignites the alabaster coast to this place. Feel free to make a getaway all around and take a deep breath.
