Musee Wurth France Erstein houses one of the largest corporate collections of contemporary art, with more than 10,000 works in the modern, 800 sq m (2,625 sq ft) building. The permanent collections include masterpieces of German surrealism and expressionism, abstract cubism, and 1980s neo-figurative paintings, with works by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Beckmann, Edvard Munch, Emil Nolde, Max Ernst, and Pablo Picasso. The museum also hosts concerts, lectures, theatrical performances, workshops, youth visits, and special guided tours with artists in residence.
