  • The displays are very informative and the video gives a slightly different perspective than the one we always get fed in the UK. It must have been very different living in a country that had been inva...  more »
  • Nice museum, but very small. The museum show all objects often found for a very long time after Operation Dynamo. The objects are therefore very weathered.

  • €15 for the couple ticket was great value for a museum that is very well laid out and takes an hour and a half to two hours to go around. I would highly recommend this place for those looking to stop off in Dunkirk. Parking is free and the beach is 10 minutes walk away. The toilets are clean and there are urinals for children. it's wheelchair friendly and they have wheelchairs available to use as well. They have a small souvenir corner and drinks available to purchase. Found this helpful? Give it a thumbs up! -It helps me imagine I have friends.
  • Well I loved it. Incredible well laid out with many interesting exhibits and the site has a story of it's own to tell. It would have helped me if they had English speakers there, but it is France, so why should they. Opening times are problematic out side of a very short high season. So check if your making a special visit.
  • Interesting museum and reasonably priced. A must if visiting Dunkirk. Allow about an hour/hour and half for your visit. Lots of info to read and displays and a short film to watch. Clean toilets and a drinks machine and fridge selling cold drinks. Very small area in the reception selling a few bits and bobs. Shame there isn't a proper gift shop though as that would definitely be a bonus. My son always liked to buy a souvenir but there wasn't really anything to buy.
  • Museum has been decorated and opened in Jun19. Entrance fee is high, 15 € . The movie salon should be more convinient for visitors. If a tall men will sit at the front row , everybody would be disturbed. Sitting plan should be organized better for movie salon. Rest rooms were perfectly clean. Explanations were good enough. Free parking is a plus.
  • Nice museum outlining the history of Dunkirk in French and English. Has some good items on display in several rooms. Probably not the best for small children but pretty good if you're interested in war history.
