  • Unavoidable despite the ongoing work. Free access to the Museum. Attention to prices charged by the Museum Shop, found some much cheaper items in town.

  • The Musée of des Beaux Arts is one of the oldest museums of France. It is located in the East Wing of the former Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. A part of the Museum is currently closed and is being reconstructed. Important paintings and art objects of the past are exhibited centuries on three levels. In the garden room is the supper of the tomb of Phillip II. (bold)

  • Impressive collection of art objects. Beautiful modern museum and free to visit. Much of the museum still under renovation, we will have to come back again!

  • It's a beautiful building in the heart of Dijon, gives the history of the dukes of Dijon. Great collection of art and has some crowns. Also a nice collection of weapons and armour. It's free
  • They don't have any fantastic, super-star attractions, but what they have is well-presented and very representative of various medieval artistic styles. I love the iconography of the period. The large tapestries, stained glass, and suits of armor are particularly engaging. Entrance is free, so it's well worth a visit--and I bet that even if you intend to stop in for just ten minutes, you'll wind up staying for at least an hour.
  • Delightful (and large) medieval collection.
  • Can't wait to go back when the renovation is complete in 2017, right now most of the museum is closed.
  • Free museums are always a bonus! Was in town for one night and stumbled across this museum while out walking. It is well worth an hour plus visit to take it in. There is some renovation going on so maybe some of it is closed, I'm not quite sure.
