  • The Magnin Museum is a must-see of Cultural Affairs from Dijon. I insist: visit absolutely. This former mansion from the 17th century is full of pictorial treasures, but also remarkable furniture; Some are exceptional by the quality of their workmanship. So why was the visit she mixed? Because, despite the quality of the works on display (Flemish, Italian, French - painting, Géricault, Gérôme, Guérin, etc.) and very successful restitution of atmosphere decorative and furnished from the different eras, the smallness of the rooms at night to the perception of overall. The presentation is sometimes very neat. She recreates salons of the 18th century or pieces of work du19e. Sometimes it is too abundant. The Napoleon III salon for example becomes a candy box where the visitor is struggling to get an idea just to this eclectic style. The paintings hanging in toe in cramped places does not facilitate the reading of the works. Too bad, because the paintings are of exceptional quality. The record is so mixed, although I remain convinced that a visit: both quality in works belonging to the fine arts and applied arts is a boon to the amateur as for the connoisseur.

  • Beautifully restored and presented, one the great mansion houses, you get a great sense of how the aristocracy would have lived in the 17thth century. Loved it.  more »
  • Hesitant provision between a Museum of works of art collected by a wealthy brother-sister couple and exposure of a stately house of their time, this place also fishing by failing light, that you iron sometimes move long devantune work to distinguish it. Is certainly worth the visit however...

  • Small museum for a family owned collection of artwork. Friendly staff and we enjoyed our visit.
  • A lovely pendant at the Museum of fine arts in full restoration. Collections are of high quality and spaces worthy of a period room of major museums. Home warm and passionate.

  • Building and collection reflect the need for representation of the Burgundy bourgeoisie in the 19th century. The collection consists mainly of paintings (copies after the old masters), as well as kunsthsndwerklichen objects. Currently urgently needed renovation work on the façade of especially the courtyard take place in Museum operation, which disturb the visit experience something.
