  • Lots of highlights in this truly beautiful wonderland. No. 1 the large outdoor chess board. No. 2 the various medieval signs and activities in the woods. No. 3 the amazing and immaculately manicured maze where we had lots of fun. Well worth a visit. Price of admission is quite fair. Some architectural and historical stuff too which, with small children, we didn't bother with.
  • Castle of Dampierre on button bejesus 2 round towers with gunboats to the outside, the main building opens on the Courtyard by 2 galleries superimposed, lit by 5 basket handle arches. It's in the Gallery on the 1st floor that we discover the symbols of King Henry II mixed with those of Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poitiers, neighbouring with symbolic or mythological themes.

  • A magnificent Castle which deserves a better concept and a better communication strategy and development to be more visited.
