  • Because of a sudden fissure the beach is covered with barges of unloading, the sky darkened and taken tourists of panic began to run, particularly the Germans, who barricaded themselves in the tourist office. We then climbed up to the Bold char not too far from the beach and a veteran we are kindly welcomed before disappearing for a reversible Philadelphia Experiment.

  • Easy access in a stroller because large slope access, terraces faces to the sea to land. Quite friendly in General... Mickey club for children 4-11 years if I remember correctly. With the flat sandy beach seaweed

  • . Long, long, LONG beach! This is not Fuerteventura, so don't expect sand dunes and fine, pale sand. But it's pretty good nonetheless, golden sand stretching down to the water's edge. And as it's the English Channel, as we get in S England, there's a tide . . . When it goes out, the beach is very deep. But tide out or tide in, the beach is long. Looong. In fact, it is so long that it goes all the way to the next resort, Bernieres. There is a pedestrianised promenade/beachtop walk all the way along, several miles of it, which is a super walk when it's not too hot. Much of this is backed by apartment blocks, some attractive, some looking as though they have been airlifted in from East Germany. There are also, in the two ends, i.e. near the towns of Courseulles or Bernieres, bars and restaurants. A good beach for families, with rock pools, tide coming in to fill the moats of your sandcastles, and fairly shallow sea. This is also, of course, part of the Juno Beach from WWII. There is a Visitors' Centre reflecting this in Courseulles town. .
