  • Each morning our different visits (may, July and September) we go to the fish market to buy the lunch meal. We have never been disappointed by the freshness and the quality of the products. Different fishmongers are nice and available. The prices are very affordable. The most is the presence all day on weekends.

  • the best set of seafood in our lives! We frequently pass this fish with a lot of envy. It is ' a world always and we understand why. We enjoyed our tray with a VOUVRAY "field of the coudrieres from alain delaleu in vernou on brené. We feasted. We will start again.

  • We stopped only at the banquet of oysters. Were oysters do tipo 3/4, but they were still huge and cost €6 per kilo (corresponding to less than 10 €5 for oysters). The guy who served us was extremely courteous and has them open at the moment, mettendocele on a tray and giving us lemon are also available, at no extra cost. Delicious!!!

  • Good selection of locally caught fresh fish, mussels and oysters
  • . A tourist attraction and a foodie delight! Fish market at Courseulles Every morning, yes, even Sunday morning!, the fish stalls on the quayside alongside the river Seulles (see where the town got its name?) are just piled high with fish and shellfish. It's a sight not to be missed. If you peer over the edge of the quay, just behind the stalls, you'll see the boats moored up, ready to go out again with the evening tide. The stallholders will clean, descale and fillet your fish for you if you wish. It's an attraction all of its own to watch those sharp knives flying through the fish. As for the ladies who are opening and cleaning the Coquilles Saint Jacques . . . they do it so fast, almost without looking, chatting as they go. Amazing! It's a great spectacle, and you come away with the makings of a superb meal. Don't forget to stop off in a supermarket or Cremerie to buy some lovely fresh Normandy cream for the sauce for your fish! .
  • It is always a pleasure to go choose the fresh fish in the company of the smile of the vendors and the piercing cries of gulls!
