Ile de Brehat, Cotes-d'Armor
Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Ile de Brehat is actually an archipelago composed of two main islands separated only at high tide. It is famous for its pink granite rocks, very mild microclimate, and the Mediterranean vegetation due to the warm Gulf Stream from across the Atlantic. You can take the ferry (les vedettes) to visit tourist attractions, the lighthouses, St-Michel chapel, Guerzido beach, and the Birlot water mill. With our custom trip planner, Ile-de-Brehat attractions like Ile de Brehat can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

We just revisit it as a grandparent with one of our daughters and her two children aged 3 years and 3 months. No problem for strollers, the alleys of Bréhat are very well appointed and you can cross all the island by these friendly streets. It takes a good day to get out of the island. So, do not hesitate to take the boat early in the morning! On-site you will find what it takes to feed you. Do not load unnecessarily! Finally, don't forget the cameras. It is so beautiful! Small downside: on this island, there is no car, so it's cool for kids who can run as they want; but we noticed that tractors and bicycles are more and more numerous. Of course, must be well that islanders work; but to use a tractor to pick up a suitcase (which was in the trailer) as we have seen this last time, it's a bit much, no? Enjoy your visit. Short ride featured (but the tour of the archipelago featured is to do; one hour) from the coast to the island. Provide a good half day to visit and enjoy the scenery and the atmosphere. Discover one of the last of Britain's tide mill; visit the workshop of the glassblowers; there are remarkable even if creations a little expensive. Walk recommended or with a bike of location(pas de voiture! sur l'ile) instead of the banal tourist train. Restore to the center of the ile(mais n'attendez pas un déjeuner exceptionnel). Earlier this summer, the agapanthus blue and their profusion, gives the landscape a unique character.show original

Daniele GhysenAn island very pretty, very aesthetic. We never tired to observe patches of rocks in the sea with the sandstone of the tides, the sky and the changing colours. Amazing vegetation. An island "re-rolling" so it reminds a jewel. It is the round foot and feet in the water also.show original
