  • I haven't visited the Interior of the castle itself. But when you come from Rennes, the building is beautiful. The city around also worth the trip. I will return to test one or more restaurants

  • Always there are guided visits to the Château de Combourg, to be private. Even being in French only, are very interesting and accessible and "understandable" for all the public. The castle is very interesting and also houses a history of "the ghost of the Jack Black sandwich"... The gardens are very nice, and can be visited freely. There are great views of Combourg. Visit highly recommended if they stay in the area (we slept in Meillac, La Petite Maison Près de l' Église...)

  • Picturesque chateau and town. There is a guided tour but I didn't take it, as I wanted to get some photos before the rain appeared. The chateau looked impressive from a distance, as I approached in the car. Even more impressive when you walk around the local area.
  • Very beautiful but the tour around the chateau is very limited as the owner still lives in it and no photos are allowed as its "private". No mention of the fact that you could only go round on a guided tour before paying and the fact that only about 8 rooms would be visited. Disappointing. The ground are lovely but not much to see other than trees and grass, which was is pretty much what the grounds (which are substantial) consists of. The guided tour is max 40 people and crowded so you can barely get in a room at a time. Feels a bit of a money spinner.
  • Very nice visit. Well preserved Castle. The guided tour, mandatory private castle because is very rewarding and focuses on François René de Chateaubriand

  • The castle is part of the heritage of combourg. Says inhabited by spirits. Rarely open to the public.

  • Very nice to visit Castle but little room to see... cost 25 euros for 2 adults and 2 children for only 8 rooms... the guide was super however... no possibility to take pictures in the Castle
