The Jardin des Olfacties is a botanical garden specializing in scented plants. It is located at the Place de l'Église, Coëx, Vendée, Pays de la Loire, France, and open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged.The garden was founded in 1942 as a public park, one hectare in size, and was transformed in the 1990s to become an olfactorium with an emphasis on scented plants, taking its current name in 1998. Between 1998 and 2000 the garden was enlarged to its current size, augmented its botanical collections, and became a member of the Jardins botaniques de France.Today the garden contains about 3,000 plant taxa arranged into a dozen thematic gardens. Really lovely garden to visit if in this area, only came across it by mistake, but was well worth going into

Quelques jeux sur ... read more »We visited that part of the garden, this one seems kept, nothing more. The scents weren't very obvious during our visit, but the ride is nice. A few games on the way, chickens and peacocks. Young children will not find their account, but for older ballad perhaps joke. The shady corners and free of the garden are all positives.show original

What a disappointment this year, it seems abandoned, it is invaded by weeds, wilted roses are not removed, cacti are almost all dead, there are nettles in the aisles... Why is the choice of free in 2014 and leave it abandoned? It is high time to hire gardeners so it becomes the "garden of the Olfacties'.show original
