L'Aventure Michelin, Clermont-Ferrand

(4.5/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
A museum brought to you by the Michelin company, L'Aventure Michelin is situated on two levels of the former 2,000 sq m (6,560 sq ft) industrial space. The original architecture, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, has been preserved for you to view themed and chronological exhibitions dedicated to the past. This museum is great for children and adults alike, complete with a 1930s Micheline railcar, Bréguet plane, and the Formula 1 world champion car driven by Fernando Alonso in 2005. A food court and gift shop completes your trip to the Michelin museum. Add L'Aventure Michelin and other attractions to your Clermont-Ferrand trip itinerary using our Clermont-Ferrand tour planner.

  • As of Auvergne, we couldn't miss out on what is the emblem of the region. Museum excellent but needing time to enjoy everything. The image of the genius of the founder of the brand (I do not work in this industry) appears over the visit. Everything is very well made marking the evolution of the firm. Very good time.

  • We had a good time: cultural activity. On Sunday, in rainy weather, it's a good idea to exit, we find the whole Michelin exhibits, touch screens and even videos for children there are small activities and games adapted for not finding the long time and a photo with bib gift...

  • Pretty interesting. Not sure if it is worth 9.50€. Was hoping to see more of the factory and how they are produced. Definitely one of the better things to do in Clermont-Ferrand. There is a free app you can download to your phone instead of paying extra for the ear piece
  • Interesting to look around and not too expensive. Tour is in English and French but had guides for different languages
  • Interesting museum. Lots to see. You can take your time and spend a couple of hours, easily.
  • I really enjoyed coming here! There is no possible way to get bored when you come. There is lots of fun information for everyone, young, teenager and adult! You can even get a portable tour to hold and listen in your hand just for €2. You could easily spend your whole afternoon there, it's something you don't want to miss!
  • Great museum for families and childern
