Castle Tourist Spot
Fort de Conde is a fortification of the Séré de Rivières system built in France between 1877 and 1883 to defend the land between Soissons and Laon. Although the fort was obsolete at the start of World War I, its command of strategic ground made it a coveted area throughout the war as it changed hands several times. Following the war, it was abandoned and then purchased by a local community for you to visit. With our international travel planner, Chivres-Val attractions like Fort de Conde can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.
