  • This chapelle was fascinating, telling the story of St Martin in vivid stain glass art. Well worth the stop. We even got to visit the chateau on site.  more »
  • Maurice at our B&B helped us by calling the attendant a day or so ahead to schedule an appointment. The attendant met us right on time at the entrance gate and pointed us to the entrance of the...  more »
  • This is an attraction worth visiting if you are in the area. At first glance, from the outside, it doesn't look that much but once you enter through the gates, it is obvious that there is more to it....  more »
  • Built between the XVI and XVII century, this former stable was transformed by the eldest daughter of Cardinal Richelieu, thanks to the trial she had won against the Court which had destroyed her father's Castle. The place is huge and beautiful. The Castle kept its period spirit thanks to the owner who kept the pieces of the time and the old furniture.

  • Beautiful asleep, the Holy Chapel is a pretty empty shell a bit to abandon. Being a Châtelain is one thing. It is still necessary to maintain its heritage. This private architectural treasure is to be seen for those who love Gothic, Italian and Renaissance. It is necessary to be connoisseur in architecture to find material to stop otherwise the visit is quick.

  • Beautiful place unfortunately quite poorly known but that is definitely worth a visit. The chapel with its white marble Cenotaph and stained glass Windows is superb. It is also one of the 7 Holy chapels of France. The stained-glass Windows dating from the sixteenth century tell the story of Christ, Saint Louis and the Bourbon Montpensier family, his descendants. It's kind of a beautiful illustrated story. The castle is also very interesting. Thanks to the guide who is passionate and exciting.
