Categories: Specialty Museums, Museums
Inspirock Rating:
2.4/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web
Entertaining, fun, and not for the faint of heart, Le Musee anime du Vin et de la Tonnellerie is a spirited restaurant that presents animated depictions of winemaking and cooking with an eclectic sense of humor. The eccentric and wise-cracking staff add to the offbeat ambience.

Under the vaulted ceiling in the 15th century cellar, you'll find surprising collections, including antique wine barrels, cooking utensils, and animated wax figures illustrating the secrets of winemaking. Bakers bake all of the signature cakes and fouées in a wood-burning oven, and chefs create tantalizing medieval culinary favorites for you to try, including goose rillettes and escargot butter. • You don't have to visit the museum, you can enter only for eating. There is no menu where to choose from. For € 20.0--you'll get some small but tasty dishes. A number of glasses of wine is included. It delivers a surprising, tasty lunch on. The price is reasonable for the food plus wine.

  • We had in mind to find a place where to buy touronian specialties. And well, we found much better. A place where taste the famous specialties (wine, fouées, etc...) with bonus an excellent evening alongside the boss with whom we spent a great evening. Recommend and again with great pleasure.
