(4/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Your ticket to Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire provides entrance to the castle wings, gardens, stables, castle park, as well as the arts and nature center. The surrounding park incorporates an English naturalist landscape by Henri Duchêne, while the castle illustrates both the defensive architecture of the Gothic period and the fanciful styles of the Renaissance.

Guided tours are available in English, and a program with a map of the grounds and interior offers spirited local information and historical tidbits. One fun fact is that Catherine de Médici entertained numerous astrologers at this site, including Nostradamus in 1560.

View works of contemporary artists, permanent exhibitions of great photographers' works, and the arts and nature project that builds on the relationship between nature and culture. The boutique du château and the garden shop offer regional cuisine and souvenirs with a local flair. • Beauty! Historic interiors, mainly relate to the time when Catherine de Medici took Diana of Poitiers Château de Chenonceau, and instead gave this. Very many wonderful stained glass. Their historicity cannot judge-but beautiful! If coming by train-save the ticket would be a good discount! In the castle there are exhibitions of contemporary art. Liked the Chapel, decorated in the style of pagan temples, and installation at the Gallery of some Sarkis'a (see photo). And the rest-solid conceptual art, postmodernism and other suspended matter. Bald Maize on them not!))) The truth is that thanks to these exhibitions, you can bypass the whole Castle. Artob'ekty not distinguishable from wallpaper and feeling-what do you like in pionerlagere on conservation. Or on an old cottage. Dusty Windows, floors creak. Mentally!

  • Garden in which to take the time to walk to discover the riches. I saw this garden a little late in the season and I think that in June or July the places must be heavenly fortress is to do with a guide if possible.

  • The Park and the festival are really beautiful! We have not seen the time passing. The garden is wonderful both at the level of odours as colors. Very nice view over the Loire. The 19th stables are interesting and well preserved. As for the Castle, it is disappointing. Two-three coins and then nothing. Missing dimension historic visit, too focused on the 19th century owners. Otherwise, the castle is beautiful outwardly.
