  • The strong Queyras is a beautiful 13th century fortification which sits on a hill just above Chateu Queyras, a village along the river Guil. The Fort is rich in history and is well preserved, both outside and inside. Beautiful are the numerous halls the beautiful stairs, narrow, sometimes going up inside. From the Hill you can enjoy a magnificent view of the village of Chateau and the Valley of the river Guil. Certainly the Fort worth a visit.

  • Fort boasting a spectacular location. Before getting to the strong advice to take a ride down the River (road at the base of the Hill to the left of the Castle where the railways) to see the location and the river is also used for rafting. The Castle (forte) is rather scruffy in many environments. Reconstruction of some salt. You notice some deterioration. No refreshments, even minimal, inside.

  • A course as a maze through the ages, from the medieval to the 1930s when it was still active. This gives it a disparate, but friendly. The exhibition on the 2nd World War very well done was interested in our ado.

  • Awesome place!
  • Located on a rocky spur overlooking the village and the torrent, this castle from the 13th century, modified by Vauban in the 17th century, is quite nice. The site is well maintained. It is wrong then explain the few visitors encountered in this month of July 2016. This is perhaps a too high rate (€10 per adult)? Is this related to too few stagings? Or an exhibition of historical panels on the 2nd World War, without apparent connection with the place? Or finally with a cashier brings not necessarily very?

  • This is the first time I see my seven year old son get passionate about a visit. She was very playful. To do in family

  • It is a big scam! It puts us on the windshield a prospectus offering a free visit of the Castle except that we forgot to specify that the entry is €10!
