Vallee Blanche, Chamonix

Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web
Catch some powder at Vallee Blanche, where the snowboards and skis swoosh by fast on the ground  while the aerial tramway swings overhead. If you're a daredevil, then the slopes offer an off-piste vertical descent of 2,700 m (8,858.3 ft). The terrain here is popular due to an open, wild feeling. After you’ve conquered the runs and explored the Mont Blanc massif glacier, stop by the Requin Hut for a hearty meal and drinks. • Too late... 50 years ago... The novels of Frison-Roche... 100 years before no, now it's scree of moraine. And then, well visit the castle in ruins from same stone not cut!

  • After a nice ride with the train and the great view of Chamonix and the landscapes around, we get to the Montenvers station with a panoramic view of the glacier (what's there in the month of April) and we can't help but ask the question of descent. But after such an expenditure (€ 31 per person) we eventually go: a long descent to finally get in the Ice Cave that disappoints a bit. It's beautiful but really nothing impressive especially after so much effort as the back is even more tiring. I recommend not to elderly people and young children. But it is still an essential step in Chamonix.

  • After the skyway with my wife in a wheelchair we took the cab that took us under the Aguille du Midi, a crossing over the glacier with indescribable scenarios, an unforgettable experience
