Where to stay in Chamonix

Chamonix and its villages offer accommodations ranging from basic and cheap, to luxurious and extremely expensive. For easy access to the best ski facilities in the area, book your rooms at one of the resort's luxury hotels. Staying in Chamonix itself allows you to explore a range of restaurants, bars, shops, and clubs, while quiet village lodges provide more privacy, as well as access to smaller and less crowded ski areas. Out-of-town B&Bs also provide a quick link to the nearby resorts in Italy and Switzerland.

  • Interesting museum of local history. Much better is the neighbourhood with the beautiful views all around, the establishments, the terraces... And of course with the mountainous background! It's nicely lit up so sunset is wonderful to have some wine outside and just enjoy the tranquility of this area!
  • Quite an interesting museum to learn the history of Chamonix and its alps. Came here with my ski instructor and we both found it quite nice. Objects, paintings, and sculptures. You can get a discount potentially with hotel / ski proofs. A nice option for a short break from the slopes in downtown Chamonix!
