The sun passes over the summit at exactly noon, justifying its name to the guests sipping coffee at the summit’s cafe. Visit the viewing platform for a spectacular photo op that will save you money on a picture postcard. Aiguille du Midi reaches 3,842 m (12,605 ft) and hundreds of thousands of visitors stand in awe of its majestic beauty each year. • Nice place, but we were unlucky because of the weather conditions. It has no sense to go there when It is cloudy. The way back of 4 hours by foot was nice, but you have to be fit! Chamonix is...  more »
  • Highly recommend buying the Mt. Blanc MultiPass. Adults R/T fare to Aiguille du Midi is 65€ and for only 3€ more you also get the Montenvers – Mer de Glace … a saving of some 30€. A bucket list...  more »
  • Stunning views all around, especially impressive in the summer. However, the altitude can be uncomfortable for some. My child fainted at the top and we also saw another woman hyperventilating. Also...  more »

  • One of the best experiences of my life. I got really light headed. The altitude was difficult to take at first, but I got used to it fairly quickly. 5-10 minutes sitting down breathing slowly and I was good. One of my friends who came with got it worse, but he just got off two red eye flights from the USA, so it might have been that too. Needless to say, don't go if you're afraid of heights. Its very expensive, but so worth it. Halfway up there is a nice little cafe and a trail to a cool mountain hike. Weather is unpredictable. Went during the very tail end of the summer season. definitely go then. Not crowded and you get all the time you want at the top. I can't wait to go again.
  • Highest elevation I have experienced - felt it a little
  • SKY, snow, everything was perfect!
  • The view is breathtaking.
  • Absolutely amazing views. It is expensive (obviously given then infrastructure required to build and maintain such a project) but totally worth it.
