This chateau and its interesting collection and museum was so unexpected. I was just dropping by on my way to Chaumont, and was so pleasantly surprised that I stayed there a lot longer, and it become one of the highlights of my tour of the Loire. The rooms are so interesting, with some great pieces and stories. Loved the collection of Hermes scarfs! And the museum was really interesting! Not that I approve of hunting, but I loved learning about the pomp and ceremony of it - not something I typically associate with the French. Very, very good.
Furnished as it was in 1971. Lovely to wander about. English description for everything.
Great place to visit with kids. The furnished rooms appeal to the imagination. it is not large and has many details.

Had a great time at the Château watching the hunting teams and exploring the grounds.
Angie angelPretty Castle but hunting is pervasive and justified to "protect nature"... aussinon, the part about horses is well done and each centimeter is profitable.
