  • We are faithful to the station of Cauterets since 1997. Hiking in the summer and fun in the snow in winter: ski to the Lys and snowshoes at the bridge of Spain. Very bad surprise this year: Snowshoeing became paid (€6 50 per person), so €26 for a family of four, not counting the rental of snowshoes (add on average €24). It becomes prohibitive. Explanation advanced by officials: the maintenance of the domain...! At this rate, why not do pay for access to the beaches of the coastline, and the gardens and public parks in cities. Finally, remember that the funding of national parks is constituted, more than 80%, the grant for public service charges paid by the State, so the taxpayer. Do not be surprised if people shun the ski resorts: we don't like to be taken for cows to milk.

  • We come every year to Cauterets since 2001 and in addition to skiing, we love go snowshoeing in the bridge of Spain. It's a magical moment in a setting natural exeptional. But was our surprise to discover that now walks on foot or on snowshoes was getting paid! €6 50 per person! To 5 people, it begins to rise, and he must add equipment rental if you not his own snowshoes. As explanation, we were served a lot of excuses, but I especially felt to spend for a tourist that we absolutely had to operate. I also have doubts about the legality of the process. We are in the Park and I think that everyone has the right to access without paying. Even in winter. More activities for non skiers on Cauterets become non-existent or paid once more! For which take us it? For the cows to milk? In short, I am very disappointed by my stay this year. I think to change the station next year.

  • The bridge of Spain is still a place that is more for walks on foot or on snowshoes that to make Alpine skiing especially when you're a beginner ski there is that two small green slopes I have not tested other tracks I find that between the place of ' arrival of the cable car and the departure of the green runs the ride and a little long especially with ski and children but it is done when even it is a place very conducive to photos with FIR
