  • Meanwhile, this museum is closed, according to articles on the internet by too few visitors. Weird. I thought I had wanted to go to the auction until I've seen the sales prices, really crazy prices, this is no longer normal.

  • I am happy to have visited this museum because I'm passionate about the 2 nd world war. The staging of the vehicles with their servants is superb. I regret the auction which took place since my visit. The duty of memory in our country is lost, and I find it regrettable for generations to come.

  • We visited this wonderful Museum last year and we found tanks and vehicles in excellent condition, well presented with the mannequins, many explanations and for my part, I was very impressed by the bearer of American tank. I just learned that the Museum was closing and that everything would be sold. WHAT a DISASTER, it must be difficult for the owner to part with this collection, and besides, it's the historical heritage of our country that will be squandered in the world. What our elected officials do in such situation? We must remember that the great museums of Royan and Avranches are missing them too. What will remain in a few years? Kind regards.

  • Most enjoyable museum I've visited in ages! Had to be hurried out by my family as I was taking too long reading every detail. 10/10, super interesting.
  • A great collection of vehicles (Allied & German). During my trip to Normandy I saw nearly every museum about D-Day and I can say that this one is one of the best. Its abolutely worth a visit. 5 Stars !
  • Awesome tank museum, paid for the tank ride and it was definitely worth the money! It's a shame they're closing..
  • Last time... Will close on 21.8.2016. No return... close forever.
  • Visited the Tank Museum today as part of a week long stay in Normandy visiting many sites of WWII historic significance. The museum is superb and has many armoured and unarmored vehicles used by both the allied armies and those of the axis forces. A personal favourite is in fact the GIANT M26 Tank Recovery Vehicle. Its an absolute monster of a thing and the vehicle sitting on its trailer is a mere toy in comparison. A lot of the vehicles are reproductions/replicas but this in no way takes away from the experience as there is just as many authentic pieces from the period including a knocked out Panzer IV in the same condition today as the day it turned its last wheel or track or whatever you get the picture. I cannot comment on the rides which are offered at the museum but can only imagine a tank ride or a flight over the area would be fantastic. Full facilities are available on site as well as a well presented gift shop and helpful and courteous staff. Cost of an adult ticket was €9 bargin! Would have paid double and left happy.
