Located in southeastern France, Carpentras market is famous for its commercial center Comtat Venaissin and is famous for the black truffle markets. Carpentras market was once the commercial spot where merchants from Ancient Greece would come and trade. Later during the time of the Roman Empire, the site was known as the Carpentoracte Meminorum, which again went to be called “the Forum of Nero”. The city is rich in historical data pertaining to the time of the Roman Empire and is well known for the massive triumphal arch that the Romans built.
