  • Carmaux is not much of a travel destination but the surrounding area offers plenty so it is worth making the trip to see this museum if taking in other sites nearby such as Cordes sur Ciel.  more »

  • The tour begins with the temporary exhibition. In the basement vaults we find glass history and the history of glassware to Carmaux (the reason for the existence of the coal mines)

  • Beautiful Museum, with an interesting archaeological collection and a beautiful contemporary collection that changes and evolves each year. Little more, live glass blowing demonstration, and possibility of their questions have want.
