(4.1/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Take a trip back the classroom at School Museum. This small center explores 19th-century France's education system through information displays and historical artifacts in a preserved classroom setting. Examine informative posters and classroom equipment as you compare today's educational establishments with those of yore. Don't miss the opportunity to sit at an old-fashioned desk and practice your handwriting thanks to a quill and inkwell. Those unpracticed in the art of calligraphy may want to avoid wearing white. • The contrast between outdoor discretion and the richness of the Interior. Especially do not hesitate to enter. A surprising collection of school things in past years: books, furniture, teaching tools. (and so what if you come in with purple ink on your fingers.) More than friendly home of the couple in charge of this museum. BRAVO!

  • A small museum that has been able to get an incredible number of books (for students and teachers) from too much annees1850, full of antiques, which recall the memories a lot, and the Lady at the entrance which is nice!

  • This trip to the Museum of the school of the city of Carcassonne was a great time! Family visit, my parents happy to explain what were all the old machines and 4 us to learn more about their childhood and compare with our school memories! Added to this the staff of the Museum which has been very helpful and super nice, particularly as they move in the room writing with pen and ink! The parts that are exposed are in very good condition, and we leave you the surprise to discover how was explained the human body, diseases etc... Museum to visit in no doubt!

  • Date: 25/08/2016 place to visit: School Museum walking along one of the streets of la Cité found this small museum dedicated to teaching that was made in France between the third and the Fourth Republic. There are five rooms where school supplies and documents of the time, where you also have the possibility of writing with pen and purple ink in a few very old desks are exposed. In addition there is a library with manuals, files, etc. It is a most interesting visit if you go with children since they "share" of as they were former schools.

  • 3.5 free adult euro for children. The Museum in him even is average but the conference on chivalry is very interesting.
