  • A staple of carcassonne that deserves to be visited. It is a great good in history. We had the audioguide as with children at an early age maos for adults this may be significant.

  • A must-see. A beautiful story page opens up with a bonus amazing views of the surrounding area. We chose to visit with audioguide child because the purpose was to discover the history of the city to our 8 year old daughter. I put a little damper on the comments. Some themes are very well explained but most of the time, I found that it was a little too much provided for a child: it took re - explain putting himself within his reach. Too bad because the Trencavel adventure is exciting. You can therefore forget the audio guide and enjoy your visit by simply explanatory panels in each room. And if, despite everything, you choose the audio guide, bring helmets to benefit from better sound!

  • We opted for the tour and were not at all disappointed. It makes you want to dive back into the history books, it's full of anecdotes, details that would otherwise pass completely unnoticed. A good time very rewarding

  • It was inspiring to learn all war strategies and how they lives in there. Love the storytelling of the castle.
  • Interesting, lots to see. Hard to pick renovations from original features. Worth a visit.
  • Very cool to walk through the old keep. The restoration is impressive. After the keep, you can then walk around about half of the ramparts.
  • Truly amazing! You can imagine a dragon sitting on top of the tower!
  • Interesting place with excellent views from the ramparts and a shop with some good books on the Cathars, and quality gifts.
