  • If there is not too much wind, passing on the road of Canet to Saint-Cyprien, at a place called "Les Basses" a stop applies to the fishing village! For photographers, there are some nice shots to take. A few boats on the pond and some huts of fishermen in reeds on the banks with backdrop of the Canigou. This fishing village, the testimony of the former activity of fishing, with these rebuilt huts, even if some are abandoned, others still was used by fishermen of eels at the entrance a large hut (closed when we visited), hosts an exhibition on the evolution of the pond, its fauna and flora. In an exceptional and protected setting, a beautiful walk to pond!

  • If pass, is worth a stop but not a detour. Rebuilt, so not originally but always interesting to explain to the children how it was... before.
