Located in the Château de Caen, covers the history of the region--from the early cave dwellers to the Vikings to the 20th century. You can examine 80,000 objects that trace the physical and cultural evolution of Normandy. Items include weapons, jewelry, and objects of daily life that are in context, as well as the masterpieces of blacksmiths, potters, and candle makers. The museum opened in 1963, and in 1970 it merged with the local museum of fine arts, increasing its collections. In addition to the archeological and anthropological exhibits, it also houses permanent and temporary art shows.   • I really liked! Many things to see at the level of the heritage of the region. Everything is well exposed, didactic. The 1st Sunday of the month, it's free. Opening at 11: 00 only.

  • The two museums are very well placed. The staff is nice. Small flat at the level of the collection of the Museum of Normandy. Medieval and antique expos are fast enough to do. The most recent Museum exhibitions are really interesting.

  • This small museum houses many exhibits of soria in Normandy. It has an outstanding collection of coins and objects that tell regional excellence, such as butter, cider, Calvados.

  • The Museum retraces life in Normandy from prehistory to nowadays. The permanent collection is worth the cost to be seen. Expect a big time to do the tour without any Miss. In addition it is free for the under 26 years!
