  • We took the 1pm boat trip from Benodet to the Isles of Glenan as we thought the kids (5 & 3) would get bored with a full day on the beach if we'd gone for the 11am boat. The 1pm boat probably didn't q...  read more »

  • I come back from a 10 day stay at the CIP Glénan (associative diving club located on the island of St Thomas). The stay was great. The Islands are gorgeous with including their white sandy beaches and turquoise sea. Water is certainly a little cool (18 / 20 ° C in late summer) but will deter not less chilly. I also had the chance to swim with a bottlenose dolphins, who ventured on the slipway of St. Thomas (a man named Randy according to the locals). St. Thomas island is a small island wilderness and preserved very nice. You can practice canoeing, snorkeling ballads. If you wish to extend your stay on the Islands there are sail and diving centres. It is accessed by the continent through boat shuttles. The only downside remains on the island the days of good weather. Indeed, the population becomes dense, which can be unpleasant. The best time (for those who can) is to stay the evening, once the flow of daily tourists away. The island is beautiful at sunset and it is a fabulous place to enjoy the sea and the stars. Finally, the evening also, the atmosphere is very user friendly in the only 2 bars of the island (which has only 10 of seasonal dwellings) with its permanent and boaters who spend the night on their boat, moored in the Bay. A place to discover, but to spend 2 days and not just one day.
