Chateau de la Roche-Jagu, Brittany
(4.6/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
As the only survivor of ten fortresses along this valley in medieval times, Chateau de la Roche-Jagu is a Gothic fortress built in the 15th century and restored in 1968. The staggering number of chimneys (19) form a row along the crest of the building that looks like a defense structure, while the façade on the other side is more charming with many windows and an eccentric tower perched up high. The interior houses many of the county’s hidden maritime treasures on view for you. • This castle open from April to October worth a look, its location, its Park, its animations and exhibitions. You can spend a day in this wonderful wooded site or all the little corners are highlighted by a team of gardeners who have all remodeled the Park following the storm of 1987. For those who love nature and Culture, you will not be disappointed.
