A beautiful castle outside for what the revolution has not touched... well highlighted by a beautiful outdoor plant arrangements. Beautiful rooms inside, with a furniture and decoration a little for my taste... In any case a beautiful work of restoration on the part of the current owners. Only one big regret; a guided tour without depth, without interest and which nearly spoil the site visit...

Boussac has much to tell from historical point of view. The Brittle Army Commander of Joan of arc and totally ruined after this campaign, lived here. Gave out geldnood case, freedoms to its citizens, unseen in the western feudal world. Two expressions of the proud city you can still see on the old town square. Two towers, the other five are hidden in the surrounding houses. La dame a la licorne, the mona lisa of the tapestry, is found here. George Sand and Chopin experienced here their best days. The cradle of French Socialism is located in the town of up for grabs. Pierre Leroux, showed that it worked. The little old ladies, that you have their charm, but well-trained guides can make a Pearl here would. This castle, provided the right approach, many Loire castles overshadow. The Interior is there, the history too.

Had recommended us the visit to the castle of Boussac. Nice exterior, Nice location. Admission: 12 Euros! Per person although it is a private house, but for the amount of the entry, we expect an interesting tour. The little visited parts is overloaded with different objects/trinkets/tapestries/collections, we ask ourselves the provenance. What's the point of this stockpile? Show fewer items (dust), and give more information on the origins of what is presented would be a plus. A sad tour, in a monotonous tone. Guide without any desire to lead the visitor to discover the Castle nor the exteriors. No explanation, just a continuation of the name of any particular object, this or that tapestry, this or that collection. No interesting information. No knowledge of the scene and its history by the guide. Too bad we do not have the answer to the (simple) questions. How can we show tapestries without knowledge (or power) to explain the symbolism, even just... Should be guides interested in history, as history or history of art students. There is so much to say about this castle, its history, its occupants... What a pity...

Absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast with a view of the chateau! Soft beds. Great breakfast. Lovely host. The dinner option is a must try!

Beautiful castle of the 15th tastefully renovated. George Sand stayed and wrote his novel Jeanne. Place to visit if you're in the area!
