  • This visit presents several interests: firstly, it allows to discover the beautiful small town medial of Bourdeilles in a pleasant country landscape. The view of the high Dungeon u reinforces this impression. The castle of Bourdeilles is actually composed of two castles, one medieval, austere for a defensive role, the other, a Palace of the time renaissance, built by Jacquette de Montbron, owner and architect. The rich furniture, made in 1967 by collectors who have traded their legacy given to the General Council of the Dordogne against a usufruct for the rest of their lives. They have redeveloped the Castle according to the 700 pieces of collection they brought there. The décor of the woodwork and ceilings that have been updated during the restoration. A must-see during your stay in Périgord.
