Where to stay in Bordeaux

Most hotels in Bordeaux sit conveniently located a stone's throw away from the train station. Look to Quinconces Square and Gambetta Square for high-end hotels. Those who prefer more budget-friendly accommodations may want to seek out a youth hostel--a relatively recent addition to the city. To secure a spot here, make sure to book ahead of time. In addition to hotels and hostels, choose from guest rooms in a typical Bordeaux house, or a family-friendly beachside campsite.

  • Interesting place to have a quick visit and read about some of the gladiator style events of the past. It's cool Bordeaux has kept this building as it's smack in the middle of a mainly residential area.
  • Perfect place to read a book in a nice spring evening. Small but worth the visit, specially if you find yourself in the center of the arena.
  • Saved piece of Roman age well took care of
  • This place is interesting! Worth knowing! There's nothing to do there, are just a few ruins. But read the story is be there near a place as old is fascinating. Very very nice!!!

  • The ruins very well preserved in the heart of the city. It must be a little detour.
