The Museum is on the place of the stock market. Very interesting, a time of visit on a single level. Varied you learn a lot of things to finish by some examples of items seized by Customs over the years including a lion stuffed enough impressive. It speaks beyond customs regulation of trade over the centuries. We also see a "teach" stone of tobacco which date from before 1700. More adult admission is €3 and free for children (it's rare enough to write it down!). NB: visit for teenagers. Note: only texts in french. So for francophones

Or rather if! Visit interesting both for historical documents for the representative objects of the functioning and activity of customs. He is probably still in the cellars of the reserves to expose. all in a beautiful building, always and until today, occupied by customs. And it will last as long as the taxes!

Free entrance if you are Customs officers, no matter what country you are from. I was there to study the historical perspective and the way they manage to exhibit their story and historical evidence. ...  more »

Museum interesting in an emblematic place of bordeaux. Nice and free visit safely. Damage nevertheless that the official salons and reception are closed to the public including the Court with its superb fountain... to consider within the framework d a museum renewal of this place.

Entry € 2, not very big but very nice, with period pieces, uniforms, weapons, and even seized Chinese Iphones. Very nice especially for the place.

Where to stay in Bordeaux

Most hotels in Bordeaux sit conveniently located a stone's throw away from the train station. Look to Quinconces Square and Gambetta Square for high-end hotels. Those who prefer more budget-friendly accommodations may want to seek out a youth hostel--a relatively recent addition to the city. To secure a spot here, make sure to book ahead of time. In addition to hotels and hostels, choose from guest rooms in a typical Bordeaux house, or a family-friendly beachside campsite.
