Love your cheese, love your sweets, pastry, fresh vegetables? love to food shop fresh? love to take a quick coffee/pasty, vino and bite and talk to the marketers .... This place kicks off early and it gets busy and then dies down heading to lunchtime/afternoon Selection of home made and locally produced cheeses is fantastic and the prices are some of the best. We head here each time in bordeaux for a prolonged stay - cheese bought for eating individually or blended into a dish cooked at home Worth a stop for anyone with a nose or palette for food. Support the local producers and individuals
Fantastic food market. Absolute must for foodies. Picked up great cheese, bread and olives. Great variety of stalls and places to eat. Fab way to spend a Sunday morning.
Best place to buy fresh food in the city
Food market with fruits, vegetables, seafood and meat on offer, as well as a few restaurants for a bite or a proper meal. Great atmosphere to enjoy food and you'll be totally spoilt for choice! Come early on a weekend morning before 11.
Sunday lunchtime is a must for anyone wanting to live a bit of French culture and sample some tasty gastronomical inventions. Although do your shopping through the week because on the weekend prices rise by 30 - 50% for fruit and veg.
